Creation
Creation has baffled the scientific community for long. The best understanding of creation as it stands today in science is that it all started in a singularity where the energy slowly evolved to matter, matter evolved into galaxies which in turn consists of multiple solar systems which has a star with multiple planets revolving around it. One such planet called earth has something unique it has "intelligent" living beings. As per science, creation happened without a purpose or to put in another way the discovery of purpose is still a work-in-progress in science.
Creation from energy to matter was succinctly mentioned by Einstein with a beautiful mathematical equation. Matter and energy are dual of each other. Matter at microscopic scale and energy seems to have both particle and wave nature.
Creation in microscopic scale and macroscopic scale has some commonality; for electrons rotate around protons while revolving around its axis, planets do the same with stars, galaxies around black hole. Each of this creation is beautiful and violent. Some elements, solar system, galaxies form, evolve and destruct all existing at different location but at the same time. At the same location with time time a system form evolve and destroy. This is true for living and non-living things. An instant of time and an instant of space can give information of the creation. Creation seems to happen from elements from a different space and different time. Creation seems to have a connections to past and future in time and space.
The singularity and duality is a nature which has been part of spirituality as well for time immemorial. The shiva linga is supposed to represent that singularity. This is a famous story in Indian civilization where Brahma (the creator) and Vishnu (the originator/sustainer) asks the Shiva on how it all started. Shiva asks each of them to go and look for themselves along the light. One of them moved up and the latter moved and came back finding no start no end. A common man way of explaining singularity.
Duality as a concept is introduced through Ardhanarashwara. Ardhanarashwara represent nar and nari in one form. Duality is everywhere in ones own personal life to one own family, society and so on. The duality of a well defined pattern as well as a wave like nature of life for living being seems to indicate that duality is part of living beings but the Brahmam seems to evolve to something beautiful.
Creation in spirituality also seem to explain the continuity in time and space. creation of ideas also seem to be based on singularity, duality and continuity. Each of the idea is based on our own knowledge churned over years and based on inputs from different people who occupy different space within the confines of earth. Creation sometimes requires destruction. Creation also seems to be an evolution. Creation, evolution, destruction all seems to be all part of the game.
The only question that differs in science and spirituality is that does creation have a purpose? Science still doesn't know it but spirituality seems to suggest it may have one. Individually each of us seems to be adding to the knowledge of making the world a better place but is it so?
